Feed 2018, 25-26 October in Bergen (Norway)

The 6th International Feed Conference organized by IMR, JRC, RIKILT, and CRA-W will be held from 25-26 October in Bergen (Norway).

The conference will aim at showing how feed safety assessment can ensure food safety as well as animal welfare and environmental protection. Topics such as new feed additives and ingredients, feed security, traceability, and a circular bio-economy will also be considered since they  have introduced new and other challenges, ranging from feed ingredient authenticity and risk assessment of new feed materials.

This year the conference will deal with "Present and future challenges" and the key-note speeches will focus on:

  • New feed materials and feed security, by Dr. Dag Aksnes (University of Bergen, Norway)
  • New analytical approaches in feed traceability and safety, by Dr. Carsten Fauhl-Hassek (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), Berlin, Germany)
  • Feed safety - Contaminants and additives, by Daniela Battaglia (FAO, Rome, Italy),
  • Feed of the future – The industry perspective, by Alexander Döring (FEFAC, Brussels, Belgium)
