Organisations and networks

The Centre for Research on Sustainable Agriculture is a NGO whose mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the rural sector through research, development and outreach of environmentally friendly farming alternatives. It works in partnership with numerous groups, research centers, scientific and international cooperation institutions, rural communities and businesses that promote sustainable rural development in Colombia and in several countries of Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

TECA stands for Technologies and Practices for small agricultural producers and is composed of (1) the Knowledge Base of technologies and practices for small agricultural producers and (2) the Exchange Groups, which are online discussion fora where practitioners can exchange knowledge and experiences on specific topics related to smallholder agriculture. 

FAO's Dairy Gateway is a neutral platform that provides a wide range of material about milk production and products in developing countries. The Gateway allows users to share information, video and picture stories, and experiences. 

This regional network on sustainable agriculture in South East Asia is supported by Sida/SAREC. Participating institutions are the countries in the Lower Mekong Basin (Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand). The core activities are research, research training, and exchange and dissemination of information.

AESA is a portal on Agricultural Extension in South Asia. It aims to share knowledge on different aspects related to extension practice and policy within the region and also to link people involved in extension to new knowledge and advisory services generated elsewhere.

INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research) is one of the foremost institutes in the world for agriculture, food and the environment. It is also the second largest public research institute in France.

FAO (Food and agricultural Organization of the United Nations) aims at raising levels of nutrition, improving agricultural productivity, bettering the lives of rural populations and contributing to the growth of the world economy.

SIA is one of University of Cordoba Centralized Services, which participates, within the INIA´s animal feeding thematic network, in the spreading of the information on animal feeding.  Its main mission is to integrate the data obtained in different laboratories on bromatologic composition, nutritive value and use recommendations of cattle feed used in Spain.

The Faculty of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech is dedicated exclusively to agronomical sciences and biological engineering. The complete five-year program on offer at the Faculty trains future bioengineers.  Gembloux Agro-Bio-Tech is a faculty open to the world, which has forged an international reputation thanks to the quality of its teaching and the excellence of its research over the last 150 years.

FARA is the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, an umbrella organization bringing together and forming coalitions of major stakeholders in agricultural research and development in Africa. FARA complements the innovative activities of national, international and sub-regional research institutions to deliver more responsive and effective services to its stakeholders.

CSIRO is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in the world.

The CGIAR Consortium is an international organization that, together with the CGIAR Fund, advances international agricultural research for a food secure future by integrating and coordinating the efforts of those who fund research and those who do the research

CIAT is an agricultural research institution that focuses on scientific solutions to hunger in the tropics. CIAT  believes eco-efficient agriculture—developing sustainable methods of food production—is the best way to eradicate hunger and improve livelihoods in the region.

AgroParisTech (Paris Institute of technology for life, food and environmental sciences) is one of the foremost French Graduate Institutes in Science and Engineering. It has 2000 students, among which 450 Ph. D students, 230 academic staff and 300 researchers.
