Hojas de "Poró" (Erythrina poeppigiana) como suplemento proteico para cabras lactantes

Abstract

Lactating goats (n=24) were used to measure milk yield responses when a basal diet of King grass and banana fruit was supplemented with fresh foliage of Erythrina poeppigiana. Milk yield increased linearly from 326 g/d without Erythrina to 820 g/d when the tree foliage was given at the rate of 1.5% (DM basis) of bodyweight. Comparable data for total DM intake were from 2.96 to 4.3% of bodyweight.
